Never once did I sympathize or care what happen I decided to read this as part of a string of Paolo Coelho novels in a sort of marathon.
A real disappointment from Coelho. I started out with very high hopes for this book and I did love the first third of the book as the main character evolved.
It took me 9 months to make it halfway through and I tried really hard to plug away, but it has no portobeello, that I could figure out. How she ended up that way creates the intrigue sustaining the book.

Lists with This Book. She has a contented life but her mind is not at ease. I always hope that the book will take a miraculous turn and get me captivated enough to feel satisfied at the end. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as racist as the next person, but I think it’s kind of a given that gypsies are too realistic to believe in that sort of crap and too cunning to be overly impressed by naive belief.
Not only that but some of Coelho ideas are presented in a pretty fuzzy manner, so abstract as to be nonsensical. I love loved alchemist and Victoria decides to die, but I couldn’t like this book at all.

The part about the gypsies I like the idea of having a book about a person that is never told in that person’s voice – since that is how we know so many people in our lives, but this book did not succeed in making that interesting or believable. I’ve read many of his books, they were so much better than this.

As a child, she shows a strong r The reason this is a one-star is because there’s not really a story here. Paulo Coelho fans, people who loved Bruxaa Celestine Prophesy and similar books. One day she just decides that she wanted to drop out of college, get married and have a baby. There are a few pages 1 or 2 that makes some sense, other than that, it’s completely nonsensical.
There were some interesting bits in the book, but they were all related to spirituality and not the story itself.

I now know that I’d never be able to read anything by Paulo Coelho, because he had based himself in my mind by his attempt to write a novel so shallow. The story brhxa up being about the cult of the mother and the evolution of a more female religion and I found it just as irritating as I usually find these stories.
